Keynote: Survey of Australian Pedorthists to Determine Current Practice in Prescribing Footwear and Insoles to Reduce the Risk of Neuropathic Plantar Forefoot Ulceration and Re-ulceration in People with Diabetes
Footwear and insoles are frequently used to manage and reduce plantar pressure to offload the neuropathic diabetic foot at risk of ulceration and re-ulceration. This study aims to explore the prescription habits of Australian pedorthists and the variations in design parameters in footwear and insoles due to variations in foot pathology, comorbidity and patient-specific factors.
