Profile of the rocker sole; theory, research and practice
In this presentation the design of the rocker profile is explained. The properties position, apex angle, radius/angle and stiffness and the effects of these properties on the biomechanics will be discussed.
A practical idea of the shape is daily practice will be shown. Rocker profiles influence joint motions, external joint moments, pressure and pain. Indications, as described in literature will pass. The correct rocker profile will be discussed for two cases.
