Offloading In Practice: Clinician Experiences and Decision-Making in High-Risk Foot Services
Effective offloading is a critical component in the management of people at high risk of foot ulceration and related complications. This presentation explores the practical application of offloading strategies within high-risk foot services, focusing on the clinical reasoning and decision-making involved in selecting appropriate interventions.
Drawing on clinical experience, the session will consider the challenges of balancing pressure reduction, mobility, patient needs and adherence, highlighting the importance of an individualised and multidisciplinary approach to high-risk foot care.
